Joseph Parent, Foreman with Plumbing Firm

Joseph Rocco Parent, 43, a lifetime resident of the Washington area who was a foreman for the George F.A. Stutz Company, a local plumbing and heating firm, died of a heart attack Sunday at the Greater Southeast Community Hospital in Washington.
Mr. Parent, who was born in Washington, worked for Capitol Ambulance in Silver Spring until he joined the Stutz company several years ago. He was a foreman in the air-conditioning department at the time of his death. He lived in Oxon Hill.
He was a member of the Brentwood and Hyattsville volunteer fire departments and of the College Park Moose Club No. 453. He also was a member of the Camp Springs United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel of Oxon Hill; three daughters, Toni Swenton of Laurel, Melanie Parent of New York City, Angelina Parent of Kentland, Md.; three sons, Joey, of Florida, Melvin, of Hyattsville, Jon, of Laurel; a sister Mary Rohls of Hyattsville, two brothers, Edward, of Denver, Colo., and Louis, of Washington State; and his mother, Angelina Parent of Hyattsville.
