Floyd D. Linendoll Sr.was born October 30, 1917, in Hudson Falls,NY. He was the son of Douw Linendoll and Mabel Bussing Linendoll Allen of Salem. A daughter, Mary Emma Linendoll, died before him. Survivors, in addition to his mother, are: his wife, of 50 years, Emma (Chadwick) Linendoll; two daughters, Gail Tarantino of Schenectady and Carol Morrison of Rochester; four sons, Floyd D. Linendoll Jr. of Salem, Kenneth W. Linendoll of Roanoke, Tex., Sgt. Maj. Gary A. Linendoll of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Timothy R. Linendoll of Fort Worth, Tex.; three sisters, Mildred Stewart of Poultney, Vt., Irene Gilbar of North Bennington, Vt., and Orpha Crosier of Greenwich; two brothers, Albert Linendoll of Saratoga and William Linendoll of Salem; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery, Salem, NY.
