She was a Graduate of Charlotte High School, after high school she went to work for the Strecks-Ald Insurance Agency, now Charlotte Insurance Agency from where she retired after 50 years of service. She was an avid antique collector.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ward (Jack) Keeny in October 2009; by her parents; a sister, Helen; brothers, Donald (Margaret) Kipp, Willard (Hyacinth) Kipp and Kenneth Kipp and step-brother, Leon (May) Talbert.
She is survived by: her nephews, Jon (Donna) Kipp of Lansing and William (Laurie) Kipp of Nashville and niece, Lori (Edward) Weeks of Rock Hill, S. C. Arlene is also survived by very special friends, Thomas and Ann Spitzley, James and Lisa Fox, Audrey Saylor, Louise Clay and Charla J. Parkinson.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service was held at Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Charles Jenson officiating. A Luncheon/Reception followed the service at the American Legion Post #42, harlotte, MI.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Eaton Community Hospice, Charlotte, MI.
