Caldwell O July 11—James Anthony Church, 64, died Friday afternoon at the family home near Ava following major surgery under some five weeks ago at Mt Carmel hospital Columbus.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon from the Methodist church at Ava with Rev. Floyd Gaugher, pastor of the First Methodist church of Caldwell officiating. Internment (sic) will be in the cemetery at Halley's Ridge with the McVay funeral home of Caldwell in charge of arrangements.
 
Mr. Church has been employed with the Pennsylvania Railroad for the past 42 years. A son of James and Margaret Kelly Church, he had spent his life in the Ava community.
 
Survivors include his widow Netta Wagner Church, three sons, Rodney and Arthur of the home and James Church of Cincinnati, one grandson, three brothers, Brice of Cumberland, John of Pleasant City and Charles of Ava and three sisters, Miss Cora Church Zanesville, Mrs. Alberta Hilton? Cambridge, and Mrs. Laura Harpster of Pleasant City.
