TEXT OF OBITUARY: (November 26, 1993)
O.C. "Wash" Coates
CLIFTON--O.C. "Wash" Coates, 72, of 251 Cedar St., died Nov. 24, 1993, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Clifton, he was the husband of the late Dollie Wyatt Coates, and the son of the late William O. and Evelyn Fisher Coates. He was a Baptist and a retired textile employee.
Survivors include two sisters, Allie Perry of Cowpens and Louise Coggins of Clifton; and two grandnieces reared in his home, Lynn Wyatt Finley and Kimberly Wyatt Leming.
Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 9 at the Bobo Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel by the Revs. David Frost and Jerry Bryant. Burial will be in Greemlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of his nephew, Bobby Wyatt, 220 Cedar St., Clifton, and th home of his sister, Louise Coggins, 230 Cedar St., Clifton.
