James L. Arflin August 20, 1938 - March 1, 2013 Pinehurst, GA- James L. Arflin, 74, of Pinehurst, died Friday in an Atlanta hospital. Born in Unadilla, he was the son of the late Worth and Mildred Gignilliat Arflin. He retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a member of Midway Independent Methodist Church. Mr. Arflin loved fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors: wife, Elaine F. Arflin of Pinehurst; daughter, Sandra Herndon (Ken) of Pinehurst; son, Jamie Arflin (Taylor Withrow) of Warner Robins; sister, Peggy Arflin of Rockwood, TN; grandchildren, Nicole Herndon, Casey Herndon and Kiley Arflin. His daughter, Joan Basham, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 3 PM Sunday in Pinehurst Baptist Church with interment in Pinehurst City Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201. Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of arrangements.
