Eugennie L. Treece, 59, of Weaver Falls Road, Saxton, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh.

She was born in Huntingdon, daughter of Omer H. Black and the late Patricia L. (Friedhoff) Black. She married Zane R. Treece Sr. on March 20, 1972, in Cumberland, Md.

Surviving are her husband; three children: Cindy McCue and husband, Brad, of Everett, Zane Jr. and wife, Debbie (Erwin), of Coalmont and Julie Bithell and husband, Ben, of Saxton; nine grandchildren: Hunter and Tanner McCue, Andrew, Brady, Matti and Carter Bithell and Katelyn, Zane III and Logan Treece; her father of Saxton; and three siblings: Omer L. Black Jr. of Newville, Jodi Crooks and husband, Kim, of Shippensburg and Brad Black of Arlington, Va.

Eugennie was a 1972 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School Class and a graduate of the Altoona Area Vo-Tech School, where she studied to be an LPN. She spent 28 years working as an LPN in various doctors' offices and at Altoona Hospital. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Dudley, where she served as a Eucharistic minister and a Sunday school teacher.

Eugennie enjoyed baking and cooking, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She had a love for animals.

Friends will be received from 1 until the 4 p.m. funeral Mass today, Oct. 11, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Church, Dudley, the Rev. Bernard L. White officiating. Burial will be held privately in Ave Maria Catholic Cemetery.

If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Treece to your local humane society.
