Harold J Shahan, 79, of Bird City, KS, died there on Jan. 9. He was born April 3, 1890 near Fellowsville, Preston, Co., WV a son of the late A. J. and Margaret Trickett Shahan. He moved to Bird City in 1914, and was a wheat farmer. His late wife, Lessie Bolyard Shahan was also from Preston County. He is survived by one son, Demi, of Bird City; two grandchildren; one brother, Walter Shahan of Lancaster, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer Bolyard of New Lexington, Ohio, Mrs. Dewey (Lora) Bolyard of Tunnelton, and Mrs. C.L. (Ercel) Pifer of Rowlesburg. Burial was in Bird City.
