McCRACKEN - Mrs. Mae T. Meehan,
80, sister of Pete McKittrick of
McCracken, died Friday in the Catholic
Center for the Aging at Wichita,
following a ,long illness. Born Mae T.
McKittrick Nov. 26. 1899, in Ness
County, she married Ray Meehan. He
died in 1929.
A retired school teacher, she
taught for 50 years in the public and
parochial schools in the McCracken
area. She moved from McCracken to
Wichita about three years ago.
She was a member of the Catholic
Church.
Other survivors: sisters: Mrs.
Roseann Quackenbusch and Mrs.
Jeane Nolze, both of Wichita.
Rosary and funeral will be 11 a.m.
Monday at St. Mary's Catholic
Church, McCracken; the Rev. Rory
O'Neill. Burial at the church cemetery
