Grizelda "Grizzelle" married Edmund Wilcox Rootes on March 29, 1855, Pontotoc County, Mississippi. Edmund is found last on the 1870 Census in Lee County, Mississippi: Enmund [sic] W. Rootes. He fought in the Civil War and signed the Amesty Oath on Aug. 5, 1865 at Pontotoc County, MS. Later, he was a U.S. Deputy Marshall.
