Services for Thomas Alvin Perdue Sr., 76, of Alto was at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home Chapel at Alto with the Rev. Bill Morgan officiating. Bural was in Alto City Cemetery.
Mr. Perdue died Monday in a Jacksonville hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 11, 1913, in Hamburg, Ark. and had lived at Alto since 1951. He served in World War II as a U.S. Army corporal and was a retired rancher and a timberman.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Helen Perdue of Alto; a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Charlotte Perdue of Alto; a brother, Henry Perdue of Bastrop, La.; a brother and sister-in-law, Wyatt and Essie of Perdue of Beekman, La.; and a granddaughter, Amanda Perdue of Alto.
Pallbearers were Billy Grimes, Hugh McKean, Billy Brooks, Roy Molandes, Charles Shaffett and Dan Schochler.
