Raymond passed away on October 6, 2013 age 84 years. He was born in Alliance, Ohio to Wilbert and Olive (Boyce) Agnew. Raymond joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves in November 1947 and served on active duty for fifteen months during the Korean War Era. Raymond was married 54 years to Joan Anne Wells and raised four children. He and his young family came to California in 1958, where he worked at a variety of jobs before he found a career with the Colton Unified School District, retiring in 1978. Raymond was preceded in passing by his beloved wife Joan, son Douglas Edwin Agnew and daughter Rayanne (Bobbie) Metzger. He is survived by two children, Gaylette Shields, David Agnew; daughter-in-law Rhonda Agnew; four grandchildren Jarrod, Andrew, Sarah, Attessa; and five siblings Anne, Christal, John, Donald & Dorothy and all their families and many friends. Memorial services will be held at 11:01 AM, Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area 5. Acheson & Graham (951) 688-1221.
