Mrs. Bernice W. Allmond, age 90 of 1003 Church St., Vidalia died Sunday night, April 21, 1991 in the meadows memorial Hospital of Vidalia after a brief illness. Mrs. Allmond was a native of Birmingham, Alabama. She had resided in Swainsboro for several tears and had lived in Vidalia for the past sixty years. She was a homemaker, a member of the Vidalia Womans Club, The Eastern Star, The TEL Sunday School class and a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia.
Mrs. Allmond is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Emelyn Evans of Dublin; one son, Emmett Allmond of Vidalia; one brother, Ted Willis of Atlanta; one sister, Mrs. Lorene Anderson of Swainsboro; three grandchildren, Hank Evans Jr., of Dublin, Rev. Glenn Evans of Ft.Worth, Texas, and Mrs. Laura Gillis of Vidalia; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Allmond were held Tuesday afternoon, April 23, 1991 at the Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalia with Rev. Grady Roan and Rev. Glenn Evans officiating. Interment was in the Pinecrest Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Jr. Allmond, Teddie Allmond, Hank Evans, Mike Corbin, John Gillis and Gary Bridges.
Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service of Vidalia was in charge of arrangements.
