George Nathaniel Anderson, 85, of Springfield, formerly of Lexington, died at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Friday June 27, 1941, after a short illness. He is survived by his widow, 12 children, Charles, Ross, Mrs. Stella Ferguson and Mrs. Bertha Burke, all of Lexington; Lester of Towanda; Elmer of Lilly, Wisconsin; Robert of Onarga; Thomas of Worthington, Minnesota; Jesse of Gillespie; Ralph of Decatur and Mrs. Florence Calkins of Springfield; one sister, Jane Gildersleeve of Hudson; one brother Henry of Hudson; 26 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. The body was brought to Lexington and funeral services were held from the Musselman Funeral Home at 10:30 A.M. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Osceola McNemar. Burial was in the Hinthorn Cemetery.
