A native of Bronx, NY, Mary moved with her mother to Asbury Park, NJ, for her senior year of high school. She met the love of her life, Don, at a USO dance, dated, became engaged, and they were married in 1948. Don and Mary first rented an apartment in Arlington near where he was stationed. After completing his US Air Force service, they soon moved to McLean, VA where they raised their 3 children. In 1976, after Don retired they moved to Johnson City, TN. Sadly, Don passed away in 1992, and Mary moved to the Atlanta area to be near her grandchildren. She met a wonderful man, Jack Howard, and they married in 2002. They loved to dance, travel, and took many cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska. Mrs. Howard retired from The Pentagon in Arlington, VA where she was employed as a Secretary.
Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her spouses: Donald Mack and Jack Howard.
She is survived by her children, Donald "Chip" J. (Louise) Mack Jr. of Raleigh, NC.; Andrew (Nancy) Mack of Buckhead, and Valerie Bseibess of Marietta, and grandchildren, Anthony Bseibess, Joey Bseibess and Jack Bseibess.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory from 6:00p.m. until 9:00p.m.
