Mrs Alice Jeanette Davis, 80, of 1418 Loveland Ave, a member of Laurel Avenue Methodist Church and for 30 years a resident of Springfield, died at 7:20pm yesterday at St John's hospital, after a lingering illness.
Mrs Davis is survived by six sons, Glen E, Guy T, C Newell, Norman L, all of city; William R of Nevada City, Calif and Rex P Davis, of Grand Rapids, Mich; a daughter, Mrs Alice O Shutt, of Bloomington; two sisters, Mrs BE Soule of St Petersburg, Fla and Mrs Nora Adams, Edinburg and seven grandchildren.
The body is at the Bisch Memorial Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
