Gary was born on March 24, 1954 to Barry Glenmore Rice and Betty Simmons Rice in Hale Center, TX.

He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Franklin of Abilene, TX, friend, Beverly Rice, brothers, Danny and James Rice, Charley and Chad Avery, sisters, Evelyn Lloyd, Cindy and Jackie Rice and Dena Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barry and Betty Rice.

Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Zephyr Cemetery in Brownwood, TX
