Nettie Bell McBride, a longtime resident of Wichita Falls, died on Thursday, April 15, 2004, in The Woodlands.
Funeral services Monday, April 19, 2004, at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Interment Crestview Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Hampton Vaughan Crestview.
A fourth-generation Texan born in Lampasas, Nettie was born on Sept. 23, 1911, to G. W. and Della (Turner) Smith. She married Elzie McBride on June 1, 1929. Elzie was a retiree of Burlington Railroad and preceded her in death. Nettie was a founding member of Emanuel Baptist Church and was extremely active in the Eastern Star and many church programs.
She is survived by her three children Derleas Green, Rondell McBride and Michael McBride; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
