RADFORD-Roy Lee Simpkins, age 88, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 1991 at Radford Community Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Saxton H. Simpkins, Radford; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Akers, Floyd; one sister, Mrs. Lura S. Grubb, Hiwassee; five grandchildren, Gerry, Ricky and Gregory Akers, Sandy Bedsaul, and James Simpkins, Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Daniel Ray Bedsaul, Sheena and Afton Akers.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Seaver-Sanders Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Sam Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in the Hedge Cemetery inn Snowville. The family will receive friends from 7:00 untill 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the Seaver-Sanders Funeral Home in Radford.
