Mrs. Joseph B. VANMETER died at her home in Cincinnati last Saturday afternoon. She had been sick for many months and during the past two years she was unable to walk or help herself. She was a patient, loving mother, wife and neighbor and her large circle of relatives and friends mourn the loss of a true woman. The funeral services were held Monday at her late home, conducted by Elder T. A. COX and Rev. J. D. SMITH. Interment in Grandview Cemetery at Bloomfield.

Her maiden name was Agnes J. MARTINDALE and she was born in Center Township June 8, 1856. She was united in marriage to Joseph B. VANMETER on September 15, 1874. To this union were born ten children, two of whom died in infancy. The eight surviving are Flem, of Jasonville; Mrs. Nannie DAGLEY, of Alhambra, Cal.; Mrs. Carrie BAILEY, of Cincinnati, Ind.; Mrs. Cora BURCHAM, of Jasonville; Mrs. Flora HUTCHINSON, of Lincoln, Neb.; Mrs. Eva HAWKINS and Grover, of Jasonville, and Miss Sylvia, at home.
