Mary Alice Louise McWilliams Plummer (Mary Lou), 57, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Feb. 19, 2013. Joining in the welcome were her husband, Michael, and her parents, George F. McWilliams, Sr. and Alice B. McWilliams, and her dogs, Wiilie, George, and Oscar. Mary Lou was born November 14, 1955, in Arlington, Virginia. She was raised in Laurel, Maryland, and graduated from Laurel High School. She has resided in Port Orange, Florida for over 35 years, moving to Florida from her Laurel, Maryland home soon after her parents retirement to Port Orange. In Florida, she worked for the United States Post Office at its Port Orange branch before going to work for IPSWW, Ormond Beach, where she worked until her retirement in 2010. Surviving Mary Lou are her sisters Kristie Mills (Frank), Laurel, MD; Gail Vogel (Phil), Washington, NC; and her brother George F. McWilliams, Jr. (Buddy), Port Orange, FL, who took tender, loving care of her until her passing. Also surviving are her stepchildren, Melinda Ziskinder (Steve), and Michael Plummer; grandchildren Adam, Ryan, and Robbie Ziskinder; nephews George F. McWilliams III (Mickey), Henry T. Clark IV (Buddy and wife Cindy), Gregory Mills (Rachel); nieces Leslie Clark Reese (Chip), Alice Mills Monroe (Paul); and great nieces Abigail Reese, Carolyn Reese, Larissa McWilliams, and great nephew Madden Mills. Included among her survivors are her faithful family dogs Harry and Cody. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Shannon Maloney Funeral Home, Port Orange, Florida. Funeral services were private. Interment will be with her parents at Fairview Cemetery, Roanoke, Virginia. Memorial donations may be made to the Halifax Humane Society, 2364 West LPGA Boulevard, Daytona Beach, FL 32124.
