About 1859, or early in 1860, the Rodebushs and Armstrongs came west, where they settled in Woodford County, Illinois near Eureka. It was most likely there that in 1860, George's younger sister, Barbara A. Rodebush, was married to Rachel's older brother, George E. Armstrong.
