Laura Geraldine Johnson, 72, of Edina, died at 1:59 Sunday afternoon, April 10, 1988, in the Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center in Kirksville.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 1988, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina, with the Rev. David Howald of Edina, officiating. Music was provided by Sandra Browning, soloist and Rita Worthington, organist. Burial was in the Linville Cemetery in Edina.
The daughter of Thomas and Henrietta Schoder Fulton, she was born May 4, 1915, in Norris, Ill. On September 30, 1950, in Little Rock, Arkansas, she married Earl Russell Johnson and he preceded her in death on June 18, 1983.
She is survived by one son, Chuck Johnson of Edina; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Marjorie) Pinkston of Princeville, Ill. and Mrs. Geraldine Morgan of Edina; seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Bernadine Froeschle and Maxine Allison; three brothers, Earl Fulton, Clifford Fulton and Delbert Fulton; four sisters, Annie Smith, Viola Foley, Marge Asquith and Dori Richie.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson lived in Chillicothe, Ill. for several years before moving to a farm southwest of Edina in 1967. Following their retirement from farming, they moved to Edina in 1983.
She attended the Baptist Church of Edina.
Casket bearers were her grandsons, Steven Griswold, David Griswold, Tim Pinkston, Brian Pinkston, Ken Pinkston, Luther Allison, Jr., Ron Allison, Christopher Clare and Larry Clare.
