Catherine was born in Lewes, Delaware to David Carmean and Amanda Joseph Carmean. She was the wife of Harry Thomas. Catherine was working in a powder plant in Milford, Delaware when she was injured during an explosion. She received 3rd degree burns and died 13 hours later in Milford Memorial Hospital.
