Alex M. Friend, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at his residence in Leesburg, FL where he has lived since 1996; formerly of Brighton, MI. He retired from Ford Motor Company Dearborn Engineering Division after 30 years service. Alexander was born March 10, 1919 in Dunfermline, Scotland. Preceding in death was his wife of 55 years, Victoria M. Friend; son, Alex M. Friend, Jr and granddaughters, Vickie and Shellie Friend. Surviving are his wife, Lynn C, daughter, Catherine M. (Carl) Glass, daughter-in-law, Alice Friend, step-daughters, Lynda L. Roya, Penny L. Williams and Martha Duty. Also grandchildren, Carl (Charisse) Glass, Alex (Lori) Glass, Thomas Glass, Alex M. (Dawn) Friend III and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM with services Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 11 AM at MacDonalds Funeral Home, Howell (517-546-2800), Pastor David Tobey officiating. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Howell.
