Butte, Nov. 18. -- Freeman Howe, for years engineer on the Montana Union road, died at 7 o'clock this morning from injuries received in the accident last Friday. It had been hoped that Mr. Howe would survive his injuries, but yesterday his life was despaired of. The funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon from the South Butte hall, under the direction of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and the Locomotive Engineers, B. L. E. All acquaintances and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

A large number of railway men from Anaconda attended the funeral of their lamented companion, Engineer Freeman Howe, in Butte yesterday. About 30 engineers, 25 firemen and 25 switchmen were present at the grave and the services were very impressive. The members of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, the Switchmen's union and the Fireman's union attended in a body and the services were of the most impressive character. Poor "Foxey" Howe was one of the most reliable men that ever pulled a throttle in the Rocky mountain region.
•Montana Death Certificate, dated Nov. 18, 1891, at Butte, Silver Bow County, lists Freman Howe, age 34, born in Maine, single. Death occurred at Murray Hospital, cause is "Accident Compression of Brain." Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
