Refujio "Fuj" Salvador Vargas - from a family of 18 siblings.

Fuj Vargas, 52, of Mission, KS passed away on October 10, 2013.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Maple Hill Funeral Home.

Rosary recitation October 15 6:00 p.m.

Catholic Mass will be held at 10am on
Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at
Holy Name Catholic Church
Southwest Blvd.
Kansas City, Kansas .

Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Fuj was born on January 18, 1961 to Vicente and Ramona Vargas. He is preceded in passing by his father Vicente, brothers: Rojelio, Ramon and Santiago. He is survived by his mother Ramona, siblings and their spouses; Gloria Guerra (Tony), Robert (Mary), Raymond (Cora), Beatrice Hernandez, Vincent (Lilly), Hope Randazzo (Len), Delores Gomez (Scott), Sal (Dana), Isabel Santa Cruz (Jeff), Feliz (Tina), Ruben and Art (Brandi); and more than 30 nieces and nephews.

Fuj was an artist and a member of the Greater Kansas City Art Association. His work, originally created for the enjoyment of his immediate family, expanded in scope and appeal. Born and raised in KCK in the Rosedale Community.

A self taught Artist he excelled in Art classes at Rosedale Middle School, JC Harmon and was a Graduate from the Art Instruction School. Fuj enjoyed creating his artwork using a wide variety of mediums including pen and ink, pencil, charcoal, colored pencil, watercolors and oil paints. Included in his broad spectrum of themes were imaginative and realistic landscapes, portraits and animated characters.

Besides his artistic accomplishments, Fuj was a lithographer for or over 25 years. He was also a respected brother, uncle, cousin, son and friend. His dogged determination, quick wit and humor was an inspiration to his siblings and all of those that knew him.
All who knew him will deeply miss Fuj.
