Herald Coaster, December 2, 1973:

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Briscoe Huntington, 80, of Rosenberg, were held Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Rosenberg with Rev. Ben Behrens and Rev. Alvis Coleman officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery and graveside services were under the auspices of Chapter 429 Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Huntington was a lifelong resident of Fort Bend County and an active member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ft. Bend Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; LaSalle Chapter of Daughters of the American Colonists; Tate Chapter Daughter of 1812; and Chapter VIII Colonial Dames.

Mrs. Huntington is survived by daughters, Mrs. Ed Vaught of Baytown, Mrs. Dorothy H. McCormick of Houston; son, George Huntington Jr. of Rosenberg; sisters, Mrs. Frank Williford Jr. of Bellaire, Mrs. Dolph Briscoe Sr. of Uvalde; brothers, Mason and Andrew Briscoe of Foster; four grandsons and three granddaughters.

Pallbearers for the funeral were Andrew Briscoe III, Bill Briscoe, Frank Briscoe, Mason Briscoe II, Dolph Briscoe, John H. Garmany Jr., and Dr. Frank Williford III.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Garmany and Co.
