Robert H. Alwine
Robert H. Alwine, 73, Black Rock Road, Hanover R.D. 2, died Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Hanover General Hospital. He was a son of the late Harvey D. and Sara Alice Hoffheins Alwine, and was a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Naomi Criswell Alwine; three sons, Clair M. Stuart Jr, and Ronald E. Alwine, Hanover R.D. 2; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Caudill, Eagle; 10 grandchildren, and a brother, Mark Alwine, Abbottstown. Mr. Alwine was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Abbottstown, and was a veteran of World War I. The Rev. Garnet Zimmerman, his pastor, will conduct the funeral service tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Worner funeral home, Carlisle Street. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening.
