Mrs. Sophie (Potkay) Moniz, 64, of 86 Hathaway Street, New Bedford died unexpectedly of natural causes yesterday at home. She was the wife of Manuel Moniz.
Born in New Bedford, she was employed formerly at the Hoosac Mills. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Surviving besides her husband are three sisters, Mrs. Genowefa Piorkowski, Mrs. Edna Bessette, and Mrs. Jane Skypeck of New Bedford.
