Hull B Witt's parents were Thomas Witt III (1770-?) and Jerusha Whitney (1775-1849). Hull was also referred to as Henry. He was born in Vermont or New Hampshire.

He married Eliza Ann Pierce (1806-1841).

They had four children:

After the death of his wife Eliza in Vermont,
he married Lydia Roper (1811-1852) on 9 Feb 1843 in Sterling, Worcester, Massachusetts.

They produced two children:

Mary C Witt
1843 – 1869

Ellen E Witt (Brock)
1847 – 1924


After Lydia's death in 1852, he married Maria M Lee (1817-?) on 9 Oct 1853 in Royalton, Windsor, Vermont. They were listed living in Marshal, MI in the 1880 census. His name was Henry.


He is listed as passing away in the same town in 1885.

The location of his burial is unknown.

Many of his siblings and cousins decided to change their last name to Dewitt in the last half of the 1800s. He was listed as Hull Dewitt in the 1870 census but Hull or Henry Witt in all other censuses.
