Cecil A. Snowberger, 53 of 1203 Ravenwood Heights, Hagerstown, died at 2:55 p.m. Saturday in the Newton Baker V. A. Center Martinsburg, WV. He had been in failing health for the past three months and was admitted to the VA center, November 3.

Snowberger was born in Ringgold, Nov 9, 1925, a son of the late John H. and Naomi (Pryor) Snowberger. He lived his early life in the Ringgold area and as a young man was employed at the Hagerstown Rubber Co.

He served with the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War and following his discharge from the service was employed at the Jamison Door Co., Hagerstown, for 15 years. For the past seven years, Snowberger was employed as a bartender at the VFW Post No. 1936 Hagerstown.

He had made his home at the present residence for the past six years.

Snowberger was a member of the William D. Byron Post No. 1936, VFW, the American Legion Post No 211, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, all of Hagerstown.

In addition to his wife, Mrs. Cora E. (Kendle) Snowberger, he is survived by these children; Miss Brenda Y. Snowberger, Gregory L. Snowberger, Dennis A. Snowberger, Miss Theresa G. Snowberger and Miss Angela D. Snowberger, all of Hagerstown. Also surviving are two grandchildren; a sister and two brothers: Mrs. Ethel Cantner and Robert P. Snowberger, both of Hagerstown, R. D. 5 and Randoplh M. Snowberger, Hagerstown, and two half sisters and a half brother; Mrs. Mary Bonebrake, Waynesboro, R. D. 4; Mrs. Rachael Snowberger, a guest at Avalon Manor Nursing Home and Jacob Snowberger, Waynesboro.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. J. Clark Hayes. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
