Operation for Bowel Trouble Failed to Afford Relief.
William F. Scott, 52, familiarly known to his friends as "Scotty," died at his home at 804 South C street, this morning at 2:30 o'clock. He had been suffering for some time with some affection of the bowels and yesterday afternoon submitted to an operation at the Hoppenrath hospital. The ailment had so far advanced that surgery could afford no relief and he died after a few hours.
William Scott was born March 6, 1867 and was married on April 25, 1895 to Maude Ruby. The widow and four children survive, they being Claude, Jacob, Silvia and Ralph, at home. He also has a daughter, Mrs. Nettie Lee, a resident of Chicago.
The funeral services will be conducted at the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by Rev. W. A Griest, and the burial will be in the city cemetery.
