SALTVILLE -- Mrs. Golda Allison Roark, 76, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, in Valley Nursing Home in Chilhowie. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Roark and one son, Bailey Roark.
Survivors: one son, Dan J.R. Roark, Covington, Va.; three daughters, Annette Taylor, Saltville, Cathy Harris, Saltville and Jolene McGlocklin, Chilhowie; one brother, William "Bill" Allison, San Pedro, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Mac Davidson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Surber and Mr. Kenny Gilbert officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Allison Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the grandsons, Carlton Davidson, Arnold Davidson, Clay Davidson, Eddie Roark, Clyde Keen and David Greene.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home of Saltville is serving the family.
