Joined Presbyterian Church of Hastings (Dakota County, Minnesota) 02 Feb 1873; dismissed to Lime Springs, IA 1890; graduated from Hastings High School in 1879.

Married at Lime Springs 13 Oct 1885 Ruth Elizabeth Reed, daughter of John William and Ruth A. (Hazen) Reed.

Children:

Grace Reed Heath 1887
Ruth Hazen Heath 1889

George was a manager of a flour mill in La Crosse, Wisconsin from about 1900 to about 1914. In 1911 he filed a US patent on a wheat heater. 1919 found him working for the Federal Adding Machine Corporation, based in New York City. They sent him to London, where he was the Managing Director of British Federal Office Machines for a while, but it appears that was cut short by the death of his wife in 1920.

A curious thing noted in the records that exist for this family is that as the years went by, they got younger. By 1919 George was ten years younger, his wife somewhat younger; even the children were 5 years younger.
