Ella Delois Halford, 78, of Jolly, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Dean with Rev. Shawn Bitner, officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
Ella was born September 13, 1935 in Farmersville, Texas to the late Allen Thomas and Ina Odell (Kimberlin) Watson. On December 19, 1950, she married Charley Earl Halford. Together, they owned and operated Charley's Catering from 1979 until 1986. She has been a member of First Baptist Church of Dean for over 35 years. Ella enjoyed bowling, swimming and horseback riding, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time and taking care of her family. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Elsie Catherine Small; sister-in-law, Ann Watson; and brother-in-law, Robert Small.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Charley E. Halford; nine children, Charley Earl Halford, Jr. and wife Sandra of El Paso, Jimmy Allen Halford and wife Tammy of Dean, Glyn Halford and wife Samantha of Krum, Sherry Evans of Dean, Anita Baptist and husband Sean of Wichita Falls, Minh Halford of Florida, Aleta Joyce Martinez and husband Jesus, Dusty Gail Walling, and Rene Ann Taylor and husband Garland all of Wichita Falls; three brothers, Vernon Watson, J.W. Watson, and Gerald "Dean" Watson and wife Shannon; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2013 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
