THE DEATH OF ELIJAH MOORE
Elijah D Moore, 77, of West Point, route #1, died at 3:57 yesterday afternoon at the Home hospital, Lafayette, where he had been a patient for the last ten days. Born February 9, 1859, he was the son of Elias C and Mary (Macaham) Moore, of Wayne township near West Point. His life was spent as a farmer in the West Point and Little Chicago vicinity. He jointed the old Quaker church, at Farmers’ Institute, while a young man. Surviving are a sister, Mrs Carrie Dutton of Linden, and a brother, Calvin C Moore of Farmers’ Institute. He never married. The body was removed to the Bradshaw funeral home, where friends may call after 4 PM today. Funeral services will be held there tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, with the Rev T F Williams officiating. Burial will be in Concord cemetery.
