He graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1968 and started in the apprentice program with the IBEW Local 668 in 1969. He also studied architectural design at Lain Tech. Guy was a member of ABATE of Indiana and past president of the athletic association for Local 668.
He enjoyed drag racing, Harley Davidson motorcycles and Corvettes.
Survived by daughter Lynn Marie(Scott)Spencer-Nelson of Fishers; two sons Chad Weston Spencer of Muncie and Grant Douglas Spencer of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Kearns Scott Nelson and Marin Eleanor Nelson; and two sisters, Phyllis Ann Hall of San Francisco, CA, and Janet Lynn Chamberlin of Littleton, CO.
Predeceased by his parents, Paul and Bertie Spencer.
Service at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Soller-Baker with Father Ambrose Ziegler officiating. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery. Memorial to American Cancer Society.
