Irene Louisa Outtrim was a stage actress and opera singer who was married to Elmer Booth the actor. She performed both in Australia and in the United States. She also performed in the silent movies - Salvation Nell (1915), The Unwritten Law (1916)and Heart of Juanita (1919). Irene was married 4 times, Eric Vansittart Ernest Neill (1901-1905), Elmer Booth (1907-1915), Allen Bishop (1917-1937) and Andrew Jackson Shumate (1938-1939). She had one child, a son Edward Elmer Booth born April 30 1908 in San Francisco. He died March 22 1910 at the Heron Hotel, Salt Lake City in Utah. He was buried in San Francisco.In 1913 his body was exhumed and he was buried in the Booth family plot in the Inglewood Park Cemetery, Los Angeles.
