Ralph Ekerdalen Funeral Services Held Here Thurs.

Funeral services for Ralph Ekerdalen, 68, of Thief River Falls and formerly of the Newfolden community, were held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Green Funeral chapel. Ekerdalen died Tuesday at the Deaconess hospital at Grand Forks, N.D.

Rev. Harold Peterson, pastor at Trinity Lutheran church officiated at the services. Mrs. Arnoldl Hammer served as organist and soloist. Interment was in the Folden cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Ness, Bertil Ness, Harold Ness, Norman Folden, Bergman Folden and Earl Melvie.

Ralph Ekerdalen was born Sept. 30, 1902 at Holt to Halvor and Emma Ekerdalen. He attended school in the Pioneer school near Holt. For many years he worked in North Dakota and Alaska and for some time was employed at Camp Ripley. For the past seven years, he had made his home during the winter months in Thief River Falls.

His only survivor is a sister, Miss Agnes Ekerdalen of Thief River Falls.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Thief River Falls Times, Monday, May 24, 1971
