Mr, Rice as born April 28, 1899 Cincinatti, Iowa, a son of James and Ellie M. Rice. He was married to Myrrh Ellen Cederstein on March 4, 1923 in Roundup, Mont. He retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1967 when he moved to Spokane.
Surviving are his widow; 10 sons and daughters, Herbert J. Rice, Columbus, Ga., Mrs. Lillian Wallace, Columbia Falls, Mont., Clyde E. Rice, Mrs. Albert Dschaak, Harold L. Rice, all of Spokane, Mrs. Juanita Langley Lewiston, Idaho, Mrs. Myrtle Keopke, Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Helen Neiderhoff, Riverside, Wash., Mrs. Freida Hamblin, Mrs. Vivian Day, both of Ogden; 28 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Sylvester Rice, Dallas, Texas, one sister, Mrs. Ethel Rice, Ridgecrest, Calif.
Funeral services will be held at the Thornhill Veiley Mortuary in Spokane Wednesday Jan 14 at 1 pm Burial in Spokane.
