** In Loving Memory of Minnie * *
We will Love Minnie, miss her and remember Minnie in our Hearts forever.
Minnie was a wonderful woman with a great family. She had the biggest
smile, great laugh and anyone who ever met her remembers
fondly. Minnie was kind, compassionate, outgoing, smart, witty
and had a great sense of humor. Prior to her Son in Laws
passing away, many years ago, at a yearly Carlson Reunion Picnic
in Big Lake MN, Eddie and Harry sang a special song for our Family
just for Minnie, in Her Memory. It was heartwarming. Everyone loved Minnie.
It was a blessing to have known her. Some of of our Minnesota Carlson
Relatives went to the Chicago Illinois area to secure work, especially
during hard economic times in the late 1920s- 1950's. Some stayed in
Illinois the rest of their lives , other returned to Minnesota or moved
elsewhere. Minnie was widowed multiple times during her
life. She outlived her husbands. Minnie was resilient and had lots of
energy. She endured tough times as a Widow. Our Family has many
happy stories about Minnie too. Her children and other Family Members,
especially, Minnie's Sister in Law Oline Carlson loved to share their happy
memories about Minnie. Many from Minnie's generation have since passed
away. Minnie lived a long life. We miss Minnie, her children, son in laws,
and siblings who have all passed away. They Drove from Illinois to Minnesota
and attended the annual Minnesota Carlson Reunion Picnics, other family
gatherings. We will all cherish our fond memories of Minnie forever.
Minnie's gravesite is McHenry County Memorial Park in McHenry, Illinois.
Minnie is in the Mausoleum in a crypt. She is next to the crypts of her late
beloved Daughter Evelyn Hans and Evelyn's late husband (Minnie's son in law)
Harry Hans.
