Steuben, July 26. — Mrs. Sarah Van Dewalker, widow of Jacob Boody, died at her home here Saturday night after an illness of 14 years' duration. She had been confined to her bed for the last three months.
Mrs. Boody was born in a log cabin in the town of Western 87 years ago.
She was married to Mr. Boody in 1866 and since that time had resided on the farm where she died. Her husband passed away 19 years ago. He was a geologist and in connection with their farm they exhibited relics and curios which attracted many visitors. She attended Carmichael
Hill church and was a woman of splendid character, admired and beloved by all who knew her.
A son, Elmer, died two years ago.
She leaves a son, Allen, Steuben; a sister, Mrs. Nancy Spink, Taberg; three brothers, Garry and William, Rome, and Peter, Western; also three grandchildren. Rome Daily Sentinel, Monday Evening, July 26, 1926
