Thea L. Abbey, 66, of RD 1, Box 233, Remsen, died at her home after a brief illness. She was born January 25, 1920 in Hamburg, Germany, the daughter of Friedrich and Gretchen Wulff Bretheuer. On October 4, 1969, she married George H. Abbey. Mr. Abbey died August 30, 1986. She was a former employee of the Sampo Company in Barneveld, retiring in 1981. She wasan Episcopalian.
She is survived by a son, Harry Landman, Remsen; a step-son. George Abbey Jr., Remsen; a step-daughter, Ms. Georjean Austin, Vernon; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at The John G.Ackley Funeral Home. Main St., Remsen. Interment in Carmichael Hill Cemetery.
