Funeral services for Mrs. Draxie Guyland Lewis, 90, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Damon Corley officiating.
Burial was in Hoover Cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis died Thursday, June 30 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of Allons Baptist Church.
Born September 12, 1914, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Finley and Josie (Gilpatrick) Maynord. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lewis; a grandson, Mike Lewis; and a sister, Arxie Seber.
Survivors include a son, Guyland Lewis of Livingston; three daughters, Glenda Sue Beasley Howard of Rickman, and Genola Cooper and Barbara Gail Wells, both of Livingston; a sister, Ruth Copeland of Haines City, FL; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jerry Beasley, Durran Lewis, Roy Joe Cooper, Phillip Lewis, Shawn Wells, and Mark Albright.
