She was born in Santa Fe to the late Eustacio Roybal and Soledad Ulibarri. She was united in marriage to Catalino Maes. A lifelong Catholic, she was a member of St. Anthony's Church in Pecos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eustacio and Soledad Roybal; husband, Catalino Maes; sons, Silviano Maes, Fermin Maes, Fernando Maes, Manuel Maes, Pancho Maes and Cruz Maes; and brother, Edmundo Roybal.
She is survived by her sons and daughters, Gonzalo Maes and wife Tina of Grants, Agapito Maes and wife Lucille of Pecos, Edward Maes of Española, Gloria Breidenbach and husband John of Canon City, Colo., Charlotte Maes, Freddy Maes, and Benji Maes and wife Myra, all of Glorieta, Johnny Maes and wife Shirley and Lorraine Allen, all of Colorado, Lourdes Gonzales and husband Jimmy of Arizona; 34 grandchildren; brothers, Julian Roybal and wife Rufina of Glorieta, and Willie Roybal and wife Susie of Santa Fe; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. April 23 at St. Anthony's Church in Pecos with burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Pecos.
