Burial is in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers are Charles Luckado, Jimmy Luckado, Bobby Blanton Jr. and Mark Friday.
Mr. Blanton, a retired supervisor with the preparation department at Gaston County Dyeing Co., was a native of Shelby, son of the late Monroe and Artie Jane Blanton. He was a member of Boger City Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Alice G. Blanton of Gastonia
