Mrs. B.F. Hoover, 86, Morrison, died at 12:45 this morning in the Morrison community hospital where she had been a patient for the past four weeks. She had been in failing health about four months.

May Green was born Nov. 29, 1873 in Ustick township the daughter of John H. and Margaret Lawry Green. She was married on June 23, 1897 at the home of her parents in Morrison to Benjamin Franklin Hoover. They farmed in Ustick township for three years before moving to Lyndon where they rented a farm for two years before buying a farm in Lyndon township, which they operated for 43 years. They retired and moved into Morrison in 1946.

She was a member of the Methodist church, the Woman's Society of Christian Service of the church, was active in the Sunday School; was a member of the Household Science Club and the Garden Club.

Survivors are her husband, two sons, Glenn Hoover, Waterman and Walter Hoover, Chicago; two granddaughters; three great-grandsons and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Everett; three brothers, Gilbert, Benjamin and one in infancy; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Abbott and Miss Phoebe Green.

The body was removed to the Reynolds funeral home where friends may call after 7 p.m. this evening. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Saturday at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Grove Hill cemetery.
