Herbert R. Katzman, 67, 264 Henry St., Burlington, died Saturday at University Hospitals, Madison. He was born Oct. 11, 1896, in the Town of Spring Prairie, the son of Henry and Rose Ammon Katzman. He married Agnes Bartholomew, Jan. 1, 1920, at East Troy. She died in 1958. He farmed in the Bowers area near Elkhorn for many years, moving to Burlington after his retirement in 1943. He was a member of First Methodist Church, Burlington. Surviving are three sons, Richard and Louis, of Rte. 2, Elkhorn, and Duane, of Elkhorn; two grandchildren; three sisters Mrs. William Enright, Burlington, Mrs. Lydia Ammon, Spring Prairie; Mrs. Roy Kurtz, East Troy; two brothers, William, in Montana, and Arthur, of Spring Prairie. Burial will be in the Burlington Cemetery.
