Dixie Marie Cain, 84, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died August 28, 2002 at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab in Huntsville. She was born May 12, 1918 at Hindsville, Arkansas the daughter of Milton Henry and Angie Lettie Parker Fulkerson. She was an investment manager and a member of the First Baptist Church of Huntsville. She was a longtime member of Huntsville Chapter #487, The Order of the Eastern Star and active in the Democratic Party. She was a representative to the Silver Haired Legislature from Madison County for the Area Agency on Aging. She was the widow of Howard Guess Cain whom she married on March 21, 1936 and who preceded her in death on September 1, 1999. She was also preceded in death by one son, William Darrell "Rocky" Cain, one daughter, Effie Cain Fox and one granddaughter, Davilyn Fox.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Howard G. Cain Jr. and Sharron Cain of Huntsville, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Lettie McLendon and J.W. McLendon Jr. of Huntsville, Arkansas, ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. Roy I. Cain officiating. Interment was in the Alabam Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville.

Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons. Memorials may be made to the Huntsville Friendship Club Memorial Fund, Post Office Box 762, Huntsville, Arkansas 72740-0762.
